PUNE: Ranbir Kapoor is on a property spree. Months after wading into Ayodhya’s real-estate market, the actor has splashed Rs 16.42 crore on nearly 25 acres of land in Pune’s Mulshi taluka, according to property registration documents.
The deal, registered on April 30th 2026, bundles four adjoining parcels in Pimpri village. The largest, spanning 43,800 square metres, cost Rs 7.07 crore. A second plot of 29,900 square metres went for Rs 4.62 crore, while a 21,400 square metre parcel fetched Rs 3.31 crore. The smallest sliver, 8,900 square metres, was picked up for Rs 1.39 crore. Together the four parcels cover 1,04,000 square metres, roughly 25.7 acres, and attracted a stamp duty of Rs 82.13 lakh.
It is not Kapoor’s only recent foray into bricks and mortar. In May 2026 the House of Abhinandan Lodha revealed the actor had bought a 2,134 square foot plot at its riverside project “The Sarayu” for around Rs 3.31 crore, part of a 75-acre development promising a clubhouse, more than 35 lifestyle amenities and a five-acre vegetarian luxury hotel run by The Leela.
Kapoor is far from alone in eyeing land beyond Mumbai’s cramped skyline. Bollywood’s biggest names, among them Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, have all been quietly stacking up agricultural and premium plots in hotspots such as Alibaug, Lonavala, Pune and Goa. Whether it’s tax-smart diversification or simply stars chasing greener, quieter acres, one thing’s clear: Bollywood’s money is moving out of the multiplex and into the mud.
