MUMBAI: Canva is adding features faster than most teams can add tabs. The design platform has rolled out its 100th Visual Suite feature of 2026, expanding its productivity pitch across Docs, Presentations, Sheets, Whiteboards and Video with more than 100 upgrades since the start of the year.
Canva says it has been releasing new capabilities at a pace of nearly one every other day, as it pushes the platform beyond design and deeper into everyday workplace tasks such as data analysis, presentations, collaboration, document creation and video.
The scale of that workplace push is reflected in its usage numbers. More than 100 million people use Canva Presentations every month, making it one of the platform’s top three tools. Canva Docs usage has more than tripled in three years, while users now create more than one billion designs every month.
The platform is also clocking up content at a remarkable pace: nearly 1,000 documents, 3,000 presentations and around 5,000 social media posts are created every minute. More than 98 per cent of Fortune 500 companies now use Canva for work, while enterprise adoption has more than doubled year on year.
The bigger idea behind the latest upgrades is to keep the entire workflow under one roof. Teams can brainstorm on Whiteboards, turn those ideas into a brief in Docs, analyse data in Sheets and then build a presentation without jumping between separate productivity tools. More than 250 million multi-format designs have been created since Canva introduced its new format last year.
Docs is gaining full-page layouts, automatic page breaks and broader styling options. Sheets gets more than a dozen updates, including additional formatting controls and AI tools that can analyse data and convert it into charts and tables. Users can also hide columns, group rows and apply public filters.
Whiteboards are getting smoother navigation, mobile pasting, Follow Collaborators and one-click reactions. Ideas created there can also be converted directly into a Presentation or Doc.
Presentations, meanwhile, gets an estimated presenting timer, one-click presenting and automatically generated presenter notes, small additions aimed at making the final step from creating slides to actually presenting them less of a scramble.
Canva is extending the productivity push to websites as well. Nearly one million websites are published each month, while Canva Code has been used to create more than six million coded websites. New tools include navigation for sites with up to 20 sections, alongside SEO features, domain controls and expanded buttons.
India is emerging as a particularly important mobile market for the Visual Suite. More than 70 per cent of Canva users in India create on mobile, the highest proportion across South Asia. Globally, more than half of Visual Suite users work on mobile, with Canva Websites recording the fastest mobile adoption.
Cameron Adams, Canva co-founder and chief product officer, said the Visual Suite had evolved from an experiment into a broader productivity platform, adding that the company still considers itself only 1 per cent of the way there.
The latest features are available globally, with Canva’s numbers suggesting the platform is no longer content to sit on the design desk. It is increasingly trying to occupy the entire office.
