Brahma AI raises $150 million at $2 billion valuation from Multiples

Prime Focus backed AI firm gets further $100 million investor demand as it expands globally

MUMBAI: Brahma AI has put some serious horsepower behind its AI ambitions, raising $150 million in an equity round led by Multiples at a $2 billion post-money valuation. Prime Focus, which announced the fundraise on September 23, said the AI-native enterprise technology company has also received another $100 million of investor demand. The company will evaluate whether to increase the round to accommodate some or all of that additional interest.

The fresh capital is set to support Brahma AI’s development and global commercialisation as the company expands its enterprise AI platform across audiovisual content, sports, healthcare and advertising.

For Prime Focus, the fundraise also creates a second growth engine alongside DNEG, its visual effects and animation business.

Brahma AI is building AI-native technology for audiovisual content, with its platform spanning enterprise content intelligence, visual AI and digital humans. Its technology is being developed for applications across media and entertainment, sports, healthcare and advertising.

The company already works with enterprises including Warner Bros, the NBA and Mayo Clinic and has strategic relationships with Google, Hakuhodo and DNEG.

The latest financing is also designed to give Brahma AI greater capital and operational independence as it takes its technology to a wider global market. The company will continue to operate independently under founder and CEO Prabhu Narasimhan, with its own governance, board and management structure.

Prime Focus, however, will remain the largest economic shareholder. Through its subsidiary DNEG, the group is expected to retain approximately 66 per cent economic ownership of Brahma AI after dilution, taking into account the fundraise, ESOP pool and founder equity holding.

The transaction remains subject to customary approvals.

For Prime Focus founder and CEO Namit Malhotra, the financing marks a new phase for the group, with DNEG and Brahma AI positioned as two distinct growth engines.

Malhotra said Brahma AI originated from an effort led by Narasimhan to combine technology stacks and capabilities developed across DNEG, Metaphysic and Prime Focus Technologies and build an independent technology company for the AI era.

Brahma AI is now preparing to broaden that technology base. The company plans to launch interactive digital humans, develop its platform to be model agnostic and expand into new use cases across sports, healthcare and advertising.

The fresh capital will support these investments as well as the expansion of Brahma AI’s global commercial organisation. Narasimhan said the company plans to establish a stronger presence in the Bay Area and significantly expand its global go-to-market operations.

The company’s push into advertising and other sectors reflects the broader shift of enterprise AI into specialised workflows rather than generic productivity tools. Brahma AI’s focus on enterprise content intelligence, visual AI and digital humans places it across several parts of the content lifecycle, from managing audiovisual assets to developing new digital experiences.

However, Brahma AI has not disclosed specific commercial products or revenue contributions from its newer use cases.

For Prime Focus, the investment broadens its exposure beyond its established creative services and production businesses. DNEG brings expertise and a global footprint in visual effects, animation and high-end content creation, while Brahma AI adds an enterprise technology play aimed at applications extending beyond traditional media and entertainment.

With $150 million now raised and another $100 million of investor demand under consideration, Brahma AI has a substantial new funding runway to turn its technology ambitions into a wider global enterprise
