SMK Helmets joins Moto4 Latin Cup as official technical sponsor

Indian helmet brand enters Road to MotoGP racing ecosystem.

MUMBAI- When young racers chase speed, safety has to keep pace. Indian helmet maker SMK Helmets has partnered with the Moto4 Latin Cup as its official technical helmet sponsor, marking the brand’s first formal entry into international motorsport through the Road to MotoGP development pathway.

The collaboration places SMK on the global racing grid as riders in the championship compete wearing the company’s Titan Carbon Racing helmets, designed specifically for circuit competition.

The Moto4 Latin Cup is part of the Road to MotoGP initiative, a global development structure that supports young riders as they progress towards professional racing careers. The 2026 season will feature 12 rounds held across circuits in Brazil and Argentina, bringing together emerging riders from across the Americas.

The championship begins between March 20 and 22 in Goiânia, Brazil, coinciding with the return of the MotoGP Brazilian Grand Prix. Competitors will race on identical Honda NSF250R machines, ensuring the focus remains on rider skill and development.

SMK’s Titan Carbon Racing helmet has been engineered with track performance in mind. Built around a lightweight carbon fibre shell, the race specification helmet features a competition focused interior and meets ECE 22.06 safety certification standards. The design emphasises aerodynamic stability, ventilation and rider comfort during high speed track conditions.

For SMK, which has more than 50 years of helmet manufacturing experience, the partnership represents both a branding milestone and a technological testing ground. Racing environments offer valuable real world insights into aerodynamics, stability and ventilation, data that can feed back into the development of helmets designed for everyday riders.

SMK Helmets head of global sales Shilpa Arora said motorsport offers an important platform for innovation and performance testing.

“Motorsport represents the highest expression of performance, precision and human ambition. Supporting the Moto4 Latin Cup reflects our commitment to rider safety and innovation while helping the next generation of racers pursue their dreams,” she said.

SMK Helmets managing director and CEO Sidhartha Khurana added that insights from racing environments would strengthen helmet technology for riders worldwide.

Manufactured in India and distributed across global markets, SMK’s entry into a Road to MotoGP championship highlights the growing recognition of Indian engineering in the international motorcycle safety equipment industry, as the brand continues to expand its presence in the global motorsport ecosystem.
