VDO.AI launches AI-powered Least Spillage Model for festive ad campaigns

Festive Ad Suite combines AI targeting, creative personalisation and inventory quality

GURUGRAM: With brands gearing up for the festive advertising rush, VDO.AI has introduced its Festive Ad Suite, built around a proprietary AI-powered Least Spillage Model designed to reduce media wastage and improve campaign relevance.

The new advertising stack brings audience targeting, creative personalisation and inventory quality into a single system, with the aim of helping brands reduce impressions that are unlikely to add value to their campaigns.

At the heart of the offering is VDO.AI’s Least Spillage Model, which assesses the audience, the content they are consuming and the value of an available ad opportunity before an impression is served.

The company said its AI models automate these decisions without manual intervention, enabling more contextual and hyperlocal campaign delivery.

The approach is designed to put the relevant creative in front of the relevant audience and within the right context, while limiting media spillage that can add to festive campaign costs without necessarily improving outcomes.

The Festive Ad Suite brings together festive-focused formats across connected TV (CTV), Rich Media Display, YouTube, in-app and online video (OLV).

The offering includes Adaptive AI Creatives across mediums, Gamified Ads and 3DX Ads. VDO.AI said the suite applies AI across three key layers of campaign delivery: creative personalisation, audience targeting and contextual relevance.

This allows the platform to align the creative, audience and environment in which an advertisement appears, rather than treating impressions as the primary measure of campaign scale.

VDO.AI chief business officer Akshay Chaturvedi said festive advertising can account for 30-40 per cent of annual ad spends, making even small inefficiencies significant when campaign budgets scale up.

He said the Least Spillage Model is based on reducing irrelevant impressions, improving inventory quality and creating stronger alignment between the audience, context and creative.

The festive period typically puts additional pressure on marketing teams as brands work with tighter timelines and heightened competition while deploying some of their largest media budgets of the year.

VDO.AI also cited a recent EY report, which found that 57 per cent of surveyed CMOs identified wasted media spend as a business impact of unmanaged digital media leakage.

The company said its Festive Ad Suite is designed to address these inefficiencies by bringing technology, formats and campaign intelligence together, giving marketers greater control over how festive advertising budgets are deployed.
